´Enough is enough´ – Wenger turns on referee again after Man City defeat

Arsene Wenger once again hit out at the officials after Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring after just five minutes but second-half goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling gave Pep Guardiola s side the three points and made it back-to-back defeats for the Gunners.

Wenger was frustrated with the awarding of a corner to Everton from which Ashley Williams scored the winner in their 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park on Tuesday, and he blasted the decision to allow City s goals to stand in the second half at the Etihad.

The 66-year-old feels enough is enough after accusing referee Martin Atkinson and his assistants of failing to spot offside infringements from Sane and David Silva, who ran close…

Messi deserves to retire a champion with Argentina – Bauza

Lionel Messi deserves to retire from international football as a champion, says Argentina head coach Edgardo Bauza.

The superstar forward has enjoyed a glittering career with Barcelona, winning eight LaLiga titles, four Copas del Rey and the Champions League four times.

Messi has also been recognised as the world s best player on five occasions, but success on the international stage has continued to elude him.

Argentina were beaten in the 2014 World Cup final, while they also suffered heartbreaks in the finals of the 2015 and 2016 Copa Americas, the latter of which saw him announce his retirement from international football a decision he swiftly reversed.

Bauza says it was easy to convince Messi and his Barca club-mate Javier Mascherano to continue with …

Borussia M gladbach coach Lucien Favre has made it clear that he will not be attempting to recruit former player Dante.

The Brazilian defender has lost his place in the side at Alianz Arena and he was recently linked with a return to Monchengladbach.

Die Fohlen chief Max Eberl even hinted that the club would try and bring Dante back to Borussia Park, but it appears the transfer is not feasible after all.

With the Brazilian currently earning a lot more than Borussia s highest paid players, coach Lucien Favre has effectively ruled out a move for the experienced defender.

Barca boss Koeman on Nagelsmann speculation: That is a matter for the media

Ronald Koeman is not interested in media speculation about his own future at Barcelona as he waits to hold in-depth talks with new president Joan Laporta.

Barca exited the Champions League in midweek, going out in the last 16 to Paris Saint-Germain, but still remain firmly in the hunt in LaLiga, having clawed their way back into the title race with a 16-game unbeaten run.

The excellent domestic form has eased the pressure on Koeman somewhat, though a recent report in Spain suggested Julian Nagelsmann was being lined up to replace the Dutchman at Camp Nou.

RB Leipzig boss Nageslmann, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich, made clear on Friday it would be disrespectful to discuss such matters, stating: There are great coaches at all of these …

Verona sign Mihaylov

Bulgaria international Mihaylov moves to the Serie A club after six years with the Eredivisie outfit.

Mihaylov spent three seasons on loan with Twente after failing to qualify for a British work permit following his move to Liverpool in 2007.

Twente signed Mihaylov on a permanent deal in 2010 and he quickly became a mainstay at De Grolsch Veste.

He joins a Verona team that has recruited extensively since securing a return to the top flight with promotion from Serie B last term, with veteran striker Luca Toni and midfielder Massimo Donati among those to link-up with Andrea Mandorlini s side.

The 25-year-old had been linked with a move to fellow Serie A newboys Sassuolo, but he will now compete with Brazilian shot-stopper Rafael for a place in the starting 11.
